Guy Ehrlich awarded the prestigious Yaacov Bahat prize

Guy Ehrlich, the Crown Center Postdoctoral Fellow in Israel Studies, was awarded the prestigious Yaacov Bahat Prize for Best Original Scholarly Book Manuscript in Hebrew. The ceremony took place at Haifa University on May 22.

As part of this honor, Guy’s book manuscript The Empty Places of Yehudit Hendel, will be published by Haifa University press next year. The book focuses on the works of Israeli writer Yehudit Hendel (1921-2014) and is based on Ehrlich's dissertation, which was written at Tel Aviv University under the supervision of Professor Michael Gluzman.

The Bahat Prize is given by Haifa University Press since 1998. It is named after Prof. Yaakov Bahat (1910-1988), who was among the founders of the department of Hebrew and Comparative Literature at the University of Haifa.
