Idil Ozkan named 2023-2024 Crown Graduate Fellowship recipient

Congratulations to Idil Ozkan, the recipient of the 2023-2024 Crown Graduate Fellowship in Jewish Studies. Idil is a Ph.D. candidate in the Anthropology Department. Her research examines Spain’s historical apology to Sephardic Jews by extending citizenship with a focus on genealogy research and language ideologies within legal reparations. She analyzes the moral dilemmas, social tensions, and religious questions that candidates engage with while claiming citizenship in Spain.
