Bilingualism in Jerusalem

Dr. Maya de Vries Kedem, Professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism and the Program in Conflict Research, Management and Resolution at Hebrew University in Jerusalem joined us for a discussion titled "Bilingualism in Jerusalem". Dr. de Vries Kedem sends her two children to Yad Beyad, the bilingual school (Hebrew-Arabic) in Jerusalem. She shared the life circumstances that led to that decision, as well as the everyday joys and challenges that arise from that choice. Dr. de Vries Kedem's stories about her family, the school, and their overall experiences helped shed light on the meaning of coexistence and the relationship between Jews and Arabs in Jerusalem.
