This past year, the Crown Family Center for Jewish and Israel Studies co-sponsored the "Israel & Palestine Joint Speaker Series: Exploring Fundamental History" in collaboration with the MENA Studies Program and the Buffett Institute for Global Affairs at Northwestern. Between April 4 and May 29, seven lectures were held, featuring renowned scholars from diverse academic and personal backgrounds. Open to Northwestern students, faculty, and staff, these lectures provided foundational, rigorous, and nuanced insights into the most pivotal moments in the modern history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, essential for understanding contemporary events. The series brought together a distinguished group of expert researchers and educators, enhancing the NU academic community's engagement with this critical topic.
